Beer Release / Tasting
Bhramari Brewhouse, Asheville, North Carolina
Allison Simpkins  [email protected]  (828) 214-7981

Bhramari Brewing Company will release the first in the Stave’elution barrel-aged series on March 4, 2017 at 1pm in their South Slope taproom.

The first in the series, Agua Mala, is an American style IPA, initially dry hopped with three pounds per barrel of Citra & Huell Melon. It was then fed to wet tequila barrels, where it aged for six months. To finish, Agua Mala was dry-hopped with an additional three pounds per barrel of Mosaic, Azacca, El Dorado, and Simcoe, for a total of six pounds per barrel.

“In Spanish Agua Mala means “Bad Water”, a commonly used slang to describe one of nature’s most deadly creatures, the Portuguese Man of War. Aptly named, what lives in this bottle can be considered just as dangerous. Born from the dark menacing depths of our brewer’s mind comes “Agua Mala”...an innocent tropical fruit forward American IPA turned deliciously wicked by aging six months in oak tequila barrels then dry-hopped with Mosaic, Azacca, El Dorado, and Simcoe for just a little extra bit of depravity. Be careful, this complex beast drifts beautifully with notes of watermelon and honey, but darkness lurks just beneath the surface...where gripping tendrils of resinous wood and spice wait to wrap you in its deathly grip and finish you.
Danger lurks in every sip, so pray you have the strength to survive this Agua Mala.”

Agua Mala will be available in house, on draft and in 500ml bottles, starting at 1 P.M. Saturday March 4. This first offering in the Stave’elution series is an extremely small batch and sales will be limited to 1 case per person.

Bhramari Brewing Company Canning Lorelai IPA
Press Release: February 16, 2017
Asheville, NC: Bhramari Brewing Company will can their second offering at the beginning of March.
Bhramari’s first offering in cans, Good Fight Sour Pale Ale, was released at the end of 2016. They are excited to offer their flagship IPA, Lorelai, to the market March 8, 2017.

“On the Rhine River, atop a steep rock, there once lived a dangerously beautiful nymph named Lorelai. Bitter, she sought to lure passing sailors to their watery doom, using her dulcet song to take her revenge…
Like the Lorelai of legend, this American IPA is dangerously seductive with just the right amount of bitterness, a graceful body singing juicy seductive tropical notes of Citra, Mandarina Bavaria, and Huell Melon hops.
Beware. One sip and you’re hers…”

Lorelai IPA is currently available on draft in Bhramari’s taproom at 101 S. Lexington Ave. in Asheville and at NC bottle shops and taprooms. Cans will have the same distribution. For a list of outlets, please visit http://www.bhramaribrewhouse.com/news

Description:
Did you know that the iron content of one apple in 1950 is equivalent to twenty-six apples in 1998? Quality food has flavor, aroma, a long shelf life, and when it rots, it dries out instead of molds. Quality Food is nutritious with health and life giving attributes. These wonderful benefits happen because of healthy soil with an abundance of organic matter, which also serves for increased tolerance to extreme weather, improved yields, and lower disease and insect pressure. Learn about ‘Quality Food,’ how to get it, and why it is important, with Dan Kittredge of the Bionutrient Food Association. He will discuss raising nutrition standards in our food supply through collaboration with committed farmers, organizations and consumers. You will understand the concept of nutrient-dense food, production that is beneficial to the soil and human health, and how to support growers who are achieving high quality food.
