Carter will bring a four-game hit streak into this weekend’s action.

Senior Reed Kreiser hit the Bulldogs’ first home run of the season on Tuesday at Furman. Kreiser is leading the team with four RBI and a slugging percentage of 526. He has now hit a home run on Feb. 24 each of the last two seasons. Junior Justin Schumer is the third Bulldog hitting .300 or better. He is 6-for-20 on the season with a double and a RBI. Both Kreiser and Schumer have a hit in all five games this season.

The Chippewas are 2-2 after splitting four games in Ft. Myers, Fla. The weekend was highlighted by a 16-9 victory over Wichita State. Senior left-hander Dan Taylor was named the Mid-America Conference Pitcher of the Week for his performance against the Shockers.
