Tonight, Friday, September 9th:
“Living on the Edge” opening from 6-9 pm at The Artery inside the Pink Dog Creative Building at 346 Depot Street. Local artists Chloe Kemp and James Daniel, along with Pisgah Legal Services and Asheville Area Art Council, strive to raise awareness and assistance for the homeless through a multi-media art exhibit featuring photography, videos, paintings & drawings. Proceeds from the show will go to Pisgah Legal Services.
The 8th annual Doors of Asheville Art Auction presented by HomeTrust Bank and Mountain Housing Opportunities at The Venue at 21 N. Market Street downtown Asheville. Attendees will enjoy live bidding on works from regional and River Arts District artists, delicious hors d’oeuvres, fine wines and local beer as well as live swing music. The auction begins at 7:30 p.m. Reservations are required. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online, or by calling 828-254-4030, ext. 116. All proceeds from the event benefit emergency home repairs for seniors, single parents and underserved populations in Buncombe County.
