City Manager Reports Findings of Investigation into Personnel Complaint

ASHEVILLE NC – On Tuesday, July 11, 2013, Asheville City Council held a special meeting to consider a matter relating to an employee of the City.   Council went into closed session to receive a final report on the investigation of a complaint, charge, or grievance against an individual public officer or employee.

City Council reconvened in open session where a resolution was passed authorizing the City Manager to disclose certain personnel information surrounding an administrative investigation, in accordance with general statutes, as it was deemed essential to maintaining public confidence in City services, in particular the services provided by the Police Department.
